The Car
Designed by Kozo Watanabe, the R34 Skyline GT-R was the last Skyline GT-R. First register in 2002, ours is one of the later cars. It was sourced in 2023 from a dealer in Japan, a one owner unmodified car which as the time time had covered -66,000 km from new.
We are very lucky to be the second custodian of this beautiful car, which still presents beautifully in its original Bayside Blue paint.
Walk-around
The coachwork and trim are all in superb order showing no signs of age. The paint was PPF treated in 2024 including the removal of the spoiler. The car is always kept garaged and covered to prevent any exposure to UV when its not being used. The front splitter is non standard.
The Oily Bits
The R34 GT-R is powered by a 2.6 litre inline 6. The exhaust system is non standard Fujitsubo. Airflow meters & some other engine parts including the the vacuum tube for turbo boost metering have been replaced.
The original factory air conditioning has been re-gassed and holds pressure well, and the car has gets its oil and filter changed at 6 monthly intervals at a Nissan main dealer.
Get comfortable
Settle into the the grippy recaros and adjust the wheel. The engine fires into life first time even on cold winter days. In spite of the power on tap, this is an easy car to drive sensibly - should you need to - with light steering and an easy, light clutch action with a progressive low bite point.
The Driving Experience
To enjoy this car at its fullest however we suggest an early morning tour to Daikoku, or possibly a trip to the lakes and mountains around Hakone if you feel like a longer drive to really get to know this car a little better.
